If you’ve been following my daily Instagram stories, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been making celery juice every morning instead of my usual fruit/vegetable juices. At the time of this post, I’ve been at it for a little over two weeks, so I thought it would be a great idea to give an update.

One of my favorite accounts for tips on natural fibroid healing, @thatnicchick, has mentioned drinking celery juice to help heal fibroids. The Medical Medium, Anthony William, also praises celery juice is as a superfood when it comes to healing the body of several infections and conditions, including fibroids.

So, I decided to give it a try. The worse that would happen is that I’d lose 5 minutes every morning making the juice and suffer through the taste.

Rules of Celery Juice Consumption

According to the Medical Medium, celery juice should be consumed first thing on an empty stomach or at least 15 minutes after having water with lemon. He recommends drinking at least 16 oz, which is usually how much you’ll get from a bunch or two.

Organic is preferred to avoid pesticides, but if you have to get conventionally grown celery, wash thoroughly with a natural, mild, clear soap.

He also recommends drinking fresh juice for the best results. If you must batch it, try not to make more than enough for a day or two in advance.

After you’ve finished drinking your celery juice, avoid consuming anything else for at least 30 minutes after consuming celery juice.

Week 1

Celery Juice does not taste great! It just doesn’t. BUT I will say that I don’t think the taste was as pungent as other people described.

Initially, I started out using celery hearts because that was all that was available at the store I went to the first time. I switched to whole celery a few days in, including the leaves and noticed that celery hearts had a milder taste. The whole celery had a bit more bite, likely due to the leaves.

I was very sluggish for the first week despite consistently good eating habits and sleep. This may be TMI, but my bowels were definitely moving a bit more frequently earlier in the day.

I suspect that these were all side effects of my body trying to detox some things.

Week 2
By week 2, I began to look forward to my morning juice. My energy picked up, and I also noticed fewer sugar/carb cravings.

By the end of week two, I also noticed that if I ate anything too greasy or too far off my protocol, off to the bathroom I went.

Does Celery Juice Shrink Fibroids?

It’s still too early to determine what effect celery juice has on fibroids. Here’s what I do know, though: my body has definitely had some kind of detoxification response to it. Anything that helps remove toxins from your body is beneficial for shrinking fibroids or at least discouraging their growth.

Does simply drinking celery juice shrink fibroids? I don’t believe that there is one magical thing that is a solution to shrink fibroids naturally.

My personal belief and experience are that there must be a series of lifestyle changes to give you short and long-term success.
